Grand Champion
The 2011 Minnesota State Fair Christmas Tree Competition is complete. Congratulations to all who participated. This year's top honors go to Ken Olson and Happy Land Tree Farms. His 8 foot Colorado Spruce was judged to be the best in show this year, being selected as the Grand Champion.
More people competed in this year's competition than last year. The decorated class saw almost a tripling in the number of entries. The State Fair offers a wonderful opportunity for the growers to meet and interact with the consumer.
To see a full list of the winners, click on the link below. The exhibit is located on the west side of the Agriculture-Horticulture building. Stop in and see all of the trees and decorations. You might find a picture of yourself on this website.
